Friday's Ten Happy Things Friday, July 15, 2016

Hello everyone! I'm alive.. again!

I am fully aware how ironic the line, "I'll update more soon", is. For that, I truly apologize. I've been busy for the past two weeks and I really couldn't catch up with everything, especially last week. It was a good kind of busy because its fruits didn't go to waste.

Now I've come to realize that having this series would help me recognize much more of the things I am very thankful for. It would also push me more to update at least once a week, I hope.

So here goes..

  • The Accountancy Sportsfest - Fight for the Golden Throne. This year's sportfest has a Game of Thrones theme. Each year level is designated to a house, Lannister, Stark, Tyrell, and Targaryen. It was held last Sunday and I got the chance to represent our year for Scrabble. I won 1st runner up! Yayy!
  • Sayawtenista. I also joined the dance contest per year during the sportsfest. It was fulfilling because we were able to give our important message to all the viewers - that is, to keep fighting til the end, the Accountancy course may be the one of our biggest struggles, but kapit lang kaibigan. I believe the song on the last part really touched our viewers and fellow school mates. It wasn't all about winning, but our fellow baby griffins who won gave us the opportunity to dance again during the awarding.
  • New friends. Joining the sayawtenista gained me more friends in our batch. Mostly, I just knew them by their names but now, we follow each other in twitter and gave good laughs. Those practices really sure made a bond to us.
  • Baeking Duo's got more customers! This was also one of the things that kept me busy. There were so many new orders and I couldn't be more thankful. Although Meric did most of the work, I'm still glad I was able to help and bake together.
  • More customers, more happy tummies! What really struck me are those comments and posts that says our crinkles and cupcakes made our customers very satisfied. These gave us more confidence to encourage others to buy. Weeee!
  • Satisfied cravings. The small things do count. It's my craving season and I'm just so glad that mom was able to cater my needs. Haha!
  • Silent Retreat. I've just been on my silent retreat! I believe the experience was so nice. In this busy, hectic stressful week, a good pause with God surely made me calm down and relax and start anew for the next busy days ahead.
  • Catching up with sleep. It was indeed a good Thursday since I just slept most of the day aside from praying. The retreat really pushed me to relax and just sleep!
  • Catching up with my journal. With my busy schedule and full of practices last week, it was so hard to check up on my journal. It was a good thing I brought it with me during the retreat. I was able to write down and take time to go back to all the things I've missed.
  • Beautiful Mornings. It was such a nice way to wake up early with the sun shining through me and my roommate's room. The sun was shining so bright and I all I could do was just stare at the beautiful view. One of the big reasons why I love mornings.
I felt so happy as I made the list and it's a good feeling because I know these are God's gifts. (This is how the retreat made me). I hope I'll get touch with this series and these good vibes.

I hope you'll have a nice weekend ahead!
