Wrapping Up 2016 Saturday, December 31, 2016

When 2016 started, I thought it's going to be my year, given it's sixteen, my favorite number. Turns out, it's a ride that does not go in my favor. It has its ups and downs but it's not the best year. But of course, there are a lot of things I'm thankful for this year, that, I cannot forget. So before 2017, let's wrap up 2016!

*photo heavy post*

I'd just like to share some of my favorite photos in 2016, which also serves as a round-up of the best things during the year. Before that, I just want to say, it's really hard to come up with words for this post. It's hard remembering the events during the year and I'm a forgetful person in some ways. Like I've said 2016 isn't the best year. For one reason, I had the worst cough ever - it lasted for two months! It wasn't the only time that I got sick. I had fever thrice this year, more or less. I also had the colds for a few times this year. And another cough just when 2016 is about to end. I hate the fact that I'm having a cough to start 2017. And normally, I don't get sick.

Looking on the bright side, there are so many things to be thankful for.

From Tumblr, I finally made a bold move to Blogger. I met new bloggers. I've up my game. I've learned more about blogging. I've also bought a domain - one of the biggest stepping stones as a blogger. I had the best template made by one of my friends and also a co-blogger, Dems. I've been inspired and inspired people through my blog.

This has been the center of my 2016. I've managed to learn the basics of photography. The way I took photos before is very different from how it is now. I've also learned some tips in Landscape & Studio Photography. Because of such passion, I've met new people I can call my family. I've also discovered Lightroom. Yes, yes, I'm a caveman for not knowing of such great app. My love for photography grew and widened. Thankfully, I have a supportive mom, because she bought me my dream lens (before, my new dream is the 56mm), the 35mm. In another view, I've come to expand my passion by shooting with film. I got my first film SLR camera and another rangefinder camera. With all these, my best friend and I set up a facebook page, where we can show our outputs and showcase our skills. We're lucky enough to have supportive friends who asked us to cover. We made money out of something we love doing! The best feeling!

  • Had a new laptop.
  • Met one of my tumblr sisters for reals, Yesha
  • Two of my besties graduated

So I guess, that's a wrap for 2016.
