Doodlelized. Overlayed. Well, I just tried experimenting with it because I was recently inspired again with overlays. Did it catch your attention? Hmm. Moving on, I badly wanted to update this blog a few days ago, but I closed its doors for awhile. I had to focus because I had to do better in my Midterms. It's not even done yet! I still have another 12-hr exam, this Sunday. That explains why I'm gone for so long and I just couldn't wait to finish everything so I could catch up in the blogosphere!!

Despite my struggles, I'm still happy to post this and not regretting putting much time on typing this down. This is actually my first post on a new segment for the blog. In a non-fancy term, it's a monthly life lately post. Lol. It was hard picking a title for it so I just thought of having the name of the month included. As for January, I see it as a beginning and the first thing that popped in my mind was first. So, First, January.

Books & Film & Series

With my tight schedule, I'm surprised I've got time for these. It's been a long wait, but finally, I started watching Sherlock Season 4. Just finished the first episode though because Meric and I had to watch it together. I was a little disappointed about it and while watching it I couldn't stop thinking about what my friend spoiled me. I seriously hate spoilers.

I almost forgot A Series of Unfortunate Events. Ever since I've seen the trailer, I got all excited because it's NPH, Neil Patrick Harris, one of my favorite actors, is the new Count Olaf. I didn't research if he was pressured though because Jim Carrey really nailed it in the movie. As I watch it, yes, Daniel Handler was right. NPH was suited for the role. On another note, I still wanted Emily Browning to be Violet Baudelaire (and she still is for me), but she's old already and there's nothing you can do about that, I mean it's been 12 years! Anyway, the good thing about the series is that the flow was the same as the book. I've been a fan ever since I watched the movie and the book, though I haven't finished them all. I even have the A Series of Unfortunate Events Blank Book! I bought it in a book fair in school. After finishing the first season, I couldn't wait for the next! So I decided that I'd start reading from the very first book.

It didn't last long because everything felt fresh. So I stopped. I thought of trying to read books I've been dying to read before. It didn't matter to me now because I don't think owning books will ever happen. I'm good with Google Playbook which Augustin Ra suggested. And the first thing I've read: To All the Boys I've Loved Before. I just finished it last night, and the book made me wanted to have a sister or sisters. I can't wait to read the next book!

Last but not the least, movies, rather, movie. I only watched one film last January and that is Ballerina. I've seen the trailer months ago and I seriously couldn't wait to watch it in the cinemas. Good thing, Meric invited me before it was changed. I was expecting it last December but they just had it this year. I LOVE THE MOVIE. It pierced hardly through my heart and maybe brain. The movie just didn't make me cry, it inspired me and motivated me. Ballerina is such a good movie for those who have big dreams in their hearts. And not just dreams, but passion. I couldn't get over the movie for two weeks. I even downloaded their soundtrack in Spotify! The lyrics of the songs as I was listening to them gave me such positive vibes. I also love the setting of the story. It was in Paris, which made me go back to the times I crave to go to. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE.

Music

It's eventful for music too. 2017 was off with a very very good start as Ed Sheeran released two songs. The first time I listened to Shape of You, all I could think of was how good Ed Sheeran was. I ain't gonna stress this further, so here are the songs in replay last January.

Shape Of You - Ed Sheeran
Castle On The Hill - Ed Sheeran
Fresh Eyes - Andy Grammer
Versace on the Floor - Bruno Mars
Ballerina Official Soundtrack

Life Events and Other Stuff

There were a lot of things that made me happy this January. Since I've had a lot to say in the first part, I'm gonna keep this one short, but one of the great things of which was I got to launch my Postcard Project. Yay! If you haven't filled up yet, you can still join!

01. Meric's Birthday. It was a mini celebration for us two.
02. Mom's Birthday. A week after Meric's day, mom turned a year older too! Me and dad got her a tab!
03.  Scout Magazine's January Issue. I'm a huge fan of Jadine but more on Nadine Lustre. So much love for the cover and the shoot! I badly want to stress this.
04. Printed photos and started my photo journal. I can't wait to fill them with so many photos!
05. Using my Starbucks Journal. Watch out for my spreads next week!
06. Fairy light shoot. Finally, I was able to play with fairy lights and shoot too!
07. My cousin drew a cartoon version of myself! I'm so amazed and proud of her! I love it!
08. Miss Universe. So much love for Pia and even though we didn't win, I'm proud of Maxine!

I didn't really expect this to be that long, I guess I blabbered much. But if you have read this far, I thank you so much for keeping up with me! I can't wait to catch up on the blogosphere next week after all my exams are done! I hope you have a great weekend ahead.

Say cheese!

Thinking of that as a catchphrase but hmm. Needs to be original.
